Retrieving a code after email has been opened#164

When I’m on my phone and I click on a message and it takes me to where I need to put my name in my password in and if I forget my password it sends a code to my email and whenever I open up a new window it will just bring me back to that email that I did I clicked on at the beginning , and then I lose the page where I put my code in and I have to start over. So how do I get my code without having to get another device to get into my email?
